Leutaschklamm (gorge)

The “old” Leutaschklamm (gorge) was opened in 1880 as the first walk-through-gorge in the German Alps. A very small 200 m road between cliffs leads into the gorge right up to the impressive 23 meter high waterfall.
The “new” Leutaschklamm – the “Geisterklamm” (gorge of the ghosts) – is above the old one at the border between Tyrol and Bavaria. On footbridges, walkways and small stairs hikers walk along the gorge, the raging river below. A unique experience for young and old! Admission is free.
